Refund policy

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days from the date of receiving your item to request a return.


Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in the same condition that you received it – unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.  Items that do not meet the return criteria will be refused and returned to you at your expense.
  • You must provide the receipt or proof of purchase.
  • Return shipping and any duties are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Any custom duties, taxes or fees paid at the time of delivery are non-refundable, as these are collected by the local customs authority.
  • If customs duties, taxes or fees are charged again when returning the product to us, these will be paid by the customer.
  • If you choose to return your item(s), shipping fees will not be refunded.
  • Orders shipped with ‘free shipping’ will have the applicable shipping fee deducted from the refund amount.  As a small business we incur costs when shipping parcels, and these fees are not refunded to us by carriers even if you return the parcel. Therefore, these shipping costs are non-refundable.

Once your return request is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package.

Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.

Damages & Issues

Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt and contact us at unboringabodes@gmail.com if:

  • The item is defective, damaged, or
  • You receive the wrong item.

We will review the issue and resolve it promptly.

For damaged or incorrect items, Unboring Abodes will cover the return shipping costs.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned, including:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, plants)
  • Custom or personalized products
  • Personal care goods (e.g., beauty products)
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

We also do not accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
If you have any questions about a specific item, please reach out before purchase.

Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange an item is to return the item first. Once the return is accepted, you can place a new order for the desired item.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund is approved.

  • If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
  • Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund approval, please reach out to us using the contact form on our website. Our team will look into it right away and do our best to resolve it for you.
